Personality:
The Puella Magi we’re talking about today can be a bit complex. On the outside, Mami is generally a smart, motherly girl that seems to know what she’s doing when it comes to her job as a Puella Magi. Someone who is very capable of holding herself together when time calls for it; after all, she’s been doing this for a few years now, so it should all be easy from here on out for her.

That’s partially true, anyway. On the inside, Mami is not as strong as she appears to be. She is capable of being very dangerous if she were to break down, especially with how powerful she is, she can hurt a lot of people if that were to ever happen. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care for people – she has a slight sister complex, especially for younger girls, and will look out and fight for them, such as when she saved Michiru in Kazumi Magica. She is a hero, after all, and will comfort people such as the woman who was affected by the witch’s kiss on Madoka and Sayaka’s first witch hunt. Her motherly instincts will kick in if she sees someone who is in trouble.

Yet, despite appearing to be kind and sweet, Mami isolates herself daily. Mami wants to keep her feelings under wrap because that’s not how a magical girl should behave. Magical girls shouldn’t cry and feel lonely. Magical girls should fight and put a good example for the younger girls. She keeps these feelings of loneliness and not-so stable side hidden deep inside of her, and will always put someone else’s feelings before her own, which might example why she killed the other girls in one of the timelines because she didn’t want them to suffer the fate of being witches.

She is afraid of people getting too close to her or she might lose them because of her job as a Puella Magi. That doesn’t mean that she likes being alone though. In fact, she hates it very much. In the past, she welcomed Kyouko when they were friends a few years ago, and was devastated when they had a falling out, and told Madoka that she didn’t want to be alone anymore. When Madoka told her that she would fight with her, Mami found her reason to keep on fighting. Unfortunately, her life would come to a bitter end when she would fight the witch Charlotte.

She’s a mature young woman that people can easily look up to. Mami is very polite in her speech and mannerisms, but even the young girl can get pretty sarcastic at times – in a polite way of course. She’s certainly not someone who can be pushed over easily, and she is not afraid to fight someone if she needs to. If it’s to protect the life of another person, she will fight and win. Considering how long she’s been fighting, bloodshed doesn’t faze her as much anymore.

Despite being mature, she kind of has a childish side, though this side is pretty small. She tends to name her abilities, such as Tiro Finale and Tiro Volley and even got Kyouko to name her ability as well. However, everyone but Madoka makes fun of her for it (Madoka thinks it’s cool and wants to name her attacks as well).

In the end, she is a Puella Magi who will fight for the weak. A Puella Magi who does not regret anything that happens in her life. There are no rooms for regrets when you’re a magical girl. All you have to do is keep fighting for the people that are in need. But of course, a friend or so for the journey wouldn’t be too bad, Mami thinks.

Abilities:
Mami is a Magical Girl, being she does the whole transformation scene and all. Her other abilities include summoning rifles (from her dress) that seem to be an endless supply, never running out. Because of her wish, she is capable of using ribbons to tie her enemies up, and usually they cannot break out of this binding.

Her final and most powerful ability is Tiro Finale, which includes one of her riffles growing enormously and creates a powerful gun shot that destroys its target with no problem. This is her most powerful move and she named it herself. As with most magical girls her weak point is her Soul Gem, which needs to be clean so it doesn’t get tainted and turn her into a witch.
